What are the roundtables?
These virtual roundtables are designed to kick-start important high-level discussions ahead of Times Higher Education’s Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC), taking place 10-13 June 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Who is attending?
Each roundtable is bringing together roughly 15-20 senior leaders from higher education and business, alongside a small number of diverse, passionate students.
What is the length and format?
Each roundtable lasts ~75 minutes, and starts with a short keynote provocation to stimulate discussion (building on a one page briefing note provided in advance). Following the provocation, there are breakout group discussions for the senior attendees that report back to a closing plenary.
What are the outcomes?
Whilst the roundtables will operate under the Chatham House Rule, insights from each roundtable will be captured through short (optional) participant interviews and a summary article. Key ideas will feed directly into the Leaders Summit, Green Skills Summit and general panels at the GSDC.
Schedule: April-May 2024
Each roundtable focuses on a sub-theme related to the broad theme of Tackling the Sustainability Skills Gap.
